CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties Volunteer Spotlight
Texas CASA is honored to share this inspiring story sent to us by CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties. The story acknowledges the incredible efforts of their dedicated CASA Volunteer, Kim Chambers, and her husband, Robert, who went above and beyond to aid in relief efforts for the devastation in the Hill Country.
“In the wake of the recent devastation in the Hill Country, many families and children have been left reeling. Here at CASA of Bell and Coryell Counties, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
One of our incredible advocates, Kim Chambers, and her husband Robert, stepped up in a remarkable way. After learning about the need, Kim connected with our generous community partner, Tina Capito & Garden of Hope, to help coordinate and deliver donated items to families in the Hill Country.
For Kim, the devastation hit especially close to home. The child she advocates for was directly impacted by the disaster and had to be rescued by helicopter. Even amidst the chaos, Kim remained in close contact, doing everything she could to ensure the child was safe, supported and not lost in the system. Her dedication didn’t stop there — she worked tirelessly to collect donations, organize supplies and deliver them where they were needed most.

Kim’s compassion, initiative and unwavering advocacy are a shining example of what it means to be a CASA. It is advocates like Kim who bring hope, healing, and real change into the lives of the children we serve.
Thank you, Kim, Robert, and Tina for your heart, your service, and your commitment to making a difference.”
